guileist: Vladimir Kush Title of Art: Books of Books Date: 2001 Purpose: This bit displays a pouffe laid on top of the Book. The tabby represents the Virgin Mary and empha surfaces the purity of Mary through the rhythmic colored wings as well as her innocuous dress. It also displays the importance of Mary for she takes up the full coat of the book which represents the Bible. Info About Artist: Kush was born in Russia. He attended art school at age 17. Although he started at a young age he was asked to join the military. After serving his duty Kush got back into pic and sold what he could to help his family through unmanageable times. In 1987 he was participating in art exhibits organized by the Union of Artists. In one Exhibit in 1990 at Germany he nearly sold out all 20 of his pieces. He eventually traveled to the States but unfortunately business was low. When he collected enough money he moved to Hawaii. It was there he was discovered by a dealer in France in 1 993.
He was recognized for his originality and was given over an exhibit in Hong Kong. In 1995, a new swan of battle in Hong Kong at the Mandarin Fine Art bearing brought more success. Once his reputation was built, in America he was given a new start by modify to exhibits in Hawaii and Seattle. In 2001 he at last unfastened his first gallery. He currently owns 4 galleries and plans on interruption more.
