Therefore, some kinds of operational and management problems are inevitable, and these issues have caused a certain extent troubles as shown in labor turnover rates. Labor turnover rate is frequently used terminology to indicate the percentage of employee replacement with a company. Employees are very important like assets in business running. Moreover high staff turnover rates can play a crucial role in organizational efficiency, productivity, cost structure and even the whole operation (Deery Shaw, 1997; Lashley Chaplain, 1999). Proposal and Objective W Singapore Sentosa Cove is targeted toward a younger generation customer group as the overall concept of W hotel worldwide. It is actually one of the famed luxuryhotelchain owned byStarwood Hotels Resorts Worldwide. To address the high turnover problems in this new launched hotel, our management team propose that we can utilize some related human resource management strategies and business solution strategies. In the following sections will suggest viable solutions such as an outstanding and adventurous training program that enable for helping HR department to recruit, select and retain capable talents those who can contribute to the objective of organization (Green et.al, 2002). Plan of Action We will conduct an extraordinary duty related training program twice a year within 10 days (exclude weekends). It named à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Moving the pat hà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ as one of our mainly long-term solutions to the employee turnover issues within the organization. In this program, our employee members (below department director level) will be divided into 38 groups of 8 to perform certain interlinked tasks with given clues. The selection of the team members from every departments (Front Office, FB, Housekeeping, HR, IT Purchasing Finance, Security, Culinary and so forth). It based on the HR report about the latest staff turnover rate analysis (Morning Briefing, 2012). The department managers will do an evaluation on each team performance when tasks are completed and fill up the related check form. On account of the feedback and rewards later on, our department directors will make the final decisions based on the managersà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ check form and the yearly KPI records for the purpose of justice and equity. For the training, we decided to hire trainers from external resources such as Shatec Institutes à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"T he training arm of SHA (Singapore Hotel Association)à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ (SHA, 2013). They are famed with their own workshops with professional demonstration and practical explanation. Then we have our managers and employees get trained together, so that after the external trainers left, our managers can help with the training program to run smoothly. Benefits of Program This kind of training program oriented toward to human such as employee, customer, shareholder and owner satisfaction, as well as an objective measure of business performance (Aguinis and Kraiger, 2009). First of all, it enhances employeeà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s level of working skills (Persaud, 2005). Participators will have better understandings where they need to fulfill specialized skills compare with their colleagues in the process of competition. Thus employees are certainly raises the awareness of their own working productivity and service performance and resulting in financial gain (Stoner and Werner, 1994 ). Besides of that, this program will increase employersà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ commitment to their job and their organization. Better understanding of jobs that to do well risk management (Collier, 2009). The third aspect is to reach the purpose of this program which is to meet the needs of employee self-improvement and let them attach the great attention from the organization. The fourth one is it provides sense of satisfaction, which is an intrinsic motivator. We also do varied rewards both spirit and material to motivate every candidate. Throughout this program, those employees will be found potential ambitious and effects especially their brilliance for further development. Base on that situation, job satisfaction among staffs will be increased and also implement the aim of creating organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s sprit. That is enhancing group cohesiveness and morale via the hotel with different departments. Viable Proposal Currently our hotel is implementing an o ngoing 12-month academic program SLT à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" Senior Leader Team. The talents are selected from hotel position Level 1 à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" 3 and planned to be coached individually. Through this Mentoring Program, the purpose is to broaden the talentà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s insights about the hospitality business (Moring Briefing, 2012). To increase productivity, to improve the menteeà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s job performance and to create a strong talent pipeline for W groups even the parent organization Starwood Hotels Resorts worldwide. Since hospitality is an industry which need more attention on à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“peopleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ and practical experience rather than inference. Therefore, we found that most of the representatives from our employees commented this existing monitoring program is not well. So we propose to start innovative training program à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Moving on Pathà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢, making a change for the situation of improving employee productivity and remain ing their retention issues. One of our staff member, she took part in the competition à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Amazing Raceà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ hosted by the Food Beverage Management Association of Singapore which working with the Singapore Workforce Development (WDA) to develop Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) in 2012 (FBMA, 2013) (Yean, 2012). The idea exactly from this competition and the popular TV game show à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Running Manà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ which inspired the way how we plan our training programs to appeal the younger generation employees instead of the traditional training. (Bigbang in Running Man, 2012) This training program we designed is also compliant with W hotel mission, stated à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Through innovation and creativity, we are committed to deliver the W promise to our guest, talents, owners and community. We amplify our unique W identity that embraces diversity and cultivate a sense of price and belongingà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢. And vision (Mission an d Vision, 2012) à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"The lifestyle icon that continuously innovates and redefines luxury hospitality experience and embody the dynamic culture of diversityà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ (W Hotel Worldwide, 2013). These are fully manifested in hotelà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s decision that motivating their staff to be casting in the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"W Gangnam Styleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ MV (W Singapore à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" Sentosa Cove Gangnam Style, 2013). Anticipated Outcomes We mainly focused on the result of labor turnover improvement, which is employee development for growth and advancement opportunities. The rewards and recognition will help with their motivation and satisfaction to be acknowledged for being proud of their efforts. This highly-involved program gives a sense of meaning in their works for employee experience among different hotel sections. Where is the loyalty to be raised for overall quality of working relationships between employees and the organization (Paul and Richard, 2001). Afterthefirstbatchofà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"movingthepathà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢programcompleted, wewish to see more employees get interested and involved in it. The ideal timeline to see the results is the first one year point, the labor turnover rates may not have so much rapid change, but trend is moving in the right direction and have an obvious effect after take a year efforts. After five years and further, we want to see some drastic changes on the labor turnover rates and employee performances. And, the most expected outcome is our à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Moving the Pathà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ can be an ongoing training program that replacing all the traditional training session and be one of our brandà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s highlights. Necessary Resources Time In order to drive employees keep feeling curious about this program; we will remain revealing partial information about this program to them before start it. For spending the time in the field of oral briefing every two weeks an d literal advertising, like announcement and poster. Monetary Costs Financial support for this program is necessary but less! Since the majority of resources we use are existing. While related to à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Moving on Pathà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ it will conduct in the organization itself. For instance, computer system, camera equipment, bedding set. The costs of rest of material are less, like paper clue, mineral water. Sponsor Moreover we will choose in kind sponsor as the most significant contribution which offer the partial or full payment of goods and services on this program. In return for access to the exploitable commercial potential associated with our property. It is our strategy for decreasing the cost on this program (Chron,2013). Manpower The whole organizational staff will be participating in the program including basic level and management layer with the spirit of GM and CEO. In the meantime, we consider the risk of being professional. Thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ s why our team decided to invite specialized authoritative associations in hospitality industry to run this program together with our existing managers. But department heads will be leading for the uppermost operation. Skills for Successful Completion Training is one of the most important parts of an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s overall Strategy (Sims, 2002). Socrates - 4719 Words

In Book II of the Plato’s Republic, Glaucon and Adeimantus challenge Socrates’ claim that justice belongs in the class of goods which are valued for their own sake as well as for the sake of what comes from them (Rep. 357 b- 358 a). Unconvinced by Socrates’ refutation of Thrasymachus, Glaucon renews Thrasymachus’ argument that the life of the unjust person is better than that of the just person. As part of his case, Glaucon states what he claims most people consider the nature of justice to be and what its origins are. He proceeds to present a version of the social contract theory: They say that to do injustice is naturally good and to suffer injustice bad, but that the badness of suffering it so far exceeds the goodness of doing it†¦show more content†¦5. Real men, who can commit injustice with impunity, would not submit to this convention. Glaucon apparently presupposes that the human good is some combination of power, pleasure, and wealth, and that because these goods are limited, humans compete with one another over them. For when Glaucon develops his position, he claims that â€Å"what anyone’s nature naturally pursues as good† is to â€Å"outdo others and get more and more (pleonexian)† (Rep. 359 c) of â€Å"other people’s property,†and to â€Å"take whatever he wanted from the marketplace with impunity, go into people’s houses and have sex with anyone he wished, kill or release from prison anyone he wished, and do all the other things that would make him a god among humans† (Rep. 360 b-c) . Humans, on Glaucon’s picture, are naturally competitive, and willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to secure their own private advantage. However, since most people are not potent enough to secure for themselves the lion’s share of these limited goods, and are afraid of losing what little of these goods they have, they agree to the compromise which is the social contract. Thus, their â€Å"nature is forced by law into the perversion of treating fairness with respect† (Rep. 359 c). Data Collection Procedures

Question: What isData Collection, Research Methodologies, and Data Analysis? Explain. Answer: Introduction to Data Collection and Analysis Procedures This section of the research paper is to execute all the findings in a proper manner, which will execute data collection, research methodology and data analysis. The notion of the research methodology will execute towards the development process of a proper research outline and will guide the investigator in a proper direction towards organizing a proper research process. However, there are several divisions towards organizing a proper research methodology in different kinds of research paper. The present research paper will address what are the different kinds of effectiveness that will conclude the effect of internet in modern marketing. The effect of internet in modern marketing is known as the application of E commerce. The contribution of E commerce in modern marketing is very much significant as well as very much remarkable in the overall business operations. The trend of shopping has been changed entirely as compare with the long-established mode of marketing. The notion of online shopping is a part of modern shopping which provides one of the most important breakthroughs in modern generations. There are certain factors from which different customers are benefited in the application of modern shopping (Aaker, 2013). The next part of the learning will address all the key factors, which will conclude the effectiveness of E commerce in the overall business of the selected organization in the study. Application of Research Methodologies and Research tools Several parameters needs analyzed in a proper manner. All these parameters will execute the different kinds of findings in a proper manner and will enable the overview of the investigation procedure. The significant parameters in the overall research process are research philosophy, research designs, and research approaches. These are some of the significant parameters, which need to be developed as well as needs to be investigation in a proper manner to address the significant aspect of the research process (Arthur, 2012). In the overall investigation process, the analyst has determined to evaluate the research philosophy with the help of the positivism investigate philosophy. With the application of the positivism, research philosophy the researcher in the study process will be able to support the overall research process based on real and scientific facts and findings. However, the notion of research approach will permit investigator in the learning to support the overall investigation practice by innovating different kinds of theories and models, which will in a proper manner. The two kinds of research approaches are will be discussed in the following part of the analysis. The two kinds of research approach is the concept of the inductive approach, which is followed, by the concept of the deductive approach. With the view of the deductive research, approach is aimed towards testing theories and business model and however, with the use of the inductive research approach will allow the analyst to develop a proper overview with the generation of new theory emerging from the data (Cateora, Gilly and Graham, 2013). However, in this research paper, the analyst has decided to support the overall investigation procedure with a view of deductive method of research methodology, as it will allow the analyst to support the proceedings of the research work based on generating new theories as well as business models. Sometimes it becomes very much difficult for the researcher choose whether to go for inductive method of research approach or to go for deductive method of research approach. With the view of deductive method of research process, the investigator in the study will be able to develop certain theories in the overall investigation process. In order to organize an effective research design, the analyst in the study will be able to develop an in debt analysis of the investigation in order to conclude what are the different kinds of impacts of E commerce in the modern business management. With the application of the research design, the analyst in the study will be able to develop a bias free investigation procedure and maximizes the reliability of the collected data (Chaffey, Ellis-Chadwick and Chaffey, 2012). On the other hand, it also maximizes the reliability of the collected data in the overall investigation procedures. There are certain parameters, which needs to investigate in a proper manner in order to evaluate a proper research designs. Some of the important features towards conducting a proper investigation procedures based on the current by maintaining a proper research designs includes the following parameters. The means towards obtaining information is one of the key initiatives towards the development process of proper investigation procedures. The objectives of the problem statement needs to executed in a proper manner by supporting the research hypothesis with relevant as well as effective findings. The availability of the time as well as the research work needs to be analyzed in an effective manner, as time and funds are the two important characteristics of the overall investigation plan and procedures. The development of a proper research design must be flexible in order to adopt certain changes, which might occur in the research process (Chan, 2012). The development of a proper research design needs to be more accurate as innovative accurate description. In order to execute a proper findings and analysis in the overall investigation process is the application descriptive research design, which includes operational definition and statistical testing (Eshel, 2012). This is a type of research design is developed by the investigator in order to collect status of the topic. Data Analysis and gathering techniques The application of the data gathering techniques includes two modes of data collection, which needs to evaluate in a proper manner. However, there are a different experimental measure, which needs to be analyzed as a proper manner includes manipulation, control, random assignment, and random selection of data techniques. However, the researcher in the study has evaluated the application of both the data analysis procedures, which includes the primary analysis techniques, which is followed by the secondary analysis techniques (Gupta, Massisimo and Koontz, 2013). The application of the primary data analysis procedures is classified into two segments, which includes quantitative analysis followed by qualitative analysis. The sample size, which is prepared by the analyzed, consists 10 quantitative questions, which is used by the analyst to ask 50 customers in general. On the other hand, the sample size which is prepared by the investigator in order to complete the qualitative analysis pr ocedures (Gupta, Massisimo and Koontz, 2013). The significance of the overall investigation process is to collect different data to clarify what are the different elements, which concludes the effectiveness of E commerce in the overall business operations. It is one of the most significant points, as the application of the data analysis procedure will ensure the investigator to investigate a proper finding in order to conclude about the significance of the research findings (Wong, 2012). On the other hand, different investigator towards development of a proper significance of the investigation procedure link the statistical analysis with the research questions, research designs, and level of data collected. It allows the analyst to analyze the results of the findings in a correct manner (Gupta, Massisimo and Koontz, 2013). The selection of methods includes the planned statistical analysis and the result section will provide the data, which generates from testing various hypothesis and research questions. The overall analysis pro cedure uses the notion of the descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. With the application of the descriptive statistical procedure, will allow the analyst in the study to describe as well as summarize all the collected data in a well-defined manner. On the other hand, the measurement process of the investigation procedure will ensure in the pattern of the responses among a simple and developed sample (Hemann and Burbary, 2013). The application of the inferential statistics will conclude the data collection towards the effectiveness of estimating how reliable can be become predictions and generalized findings. However, in order to compare groups and test hypothesis the application of inferential statistics is very much applicable towards the implication of the proper data collection analysis. Some of the following questions need to answer in a proper manner towards evaluating proper findings in the overall process of electronic commerce (HollmeÃÅ' n, Klawonn and Tucker , 2012). All the statistics, which are used in the investigation, will evaluate in a proper manner towards the proper execution of the overall collected data in the overall research process. There are three factors, which will conclude the sampling methods. The overall sampling procedure, sampling size, and participations are the three procedures, which will execute the sample representativeness in the overall research process. The application of the data sampling method can be classified into two segments (Hood, 2013). One segment is known as the probability methods of sampling which is followed by the application of the non-probability methods of the sampling. There are different points which needs to be covered towards the application probability methods of sampling which includes simple random sample, systematic random sample, stratified random sample, multistage sample, multiphase sample and cluster sample are some of the common sampling techniques which is concluded in the probability mode of sampling. On the other hand, there are certain applications of the non-probability mode of sampling, which includes the mode of convenience sampling; purposive sampling and qu ota are some of the common factors, which are included in the process of non-probability mode of sampling (Lal, 2013). The overall sampling process includes several stages which different analyst needs to follow towards developing a proper sampling procedure, which needs to analyze in a proper manner. Defining the population of the concern, specifying the sampling frame, specifying the sampling methods for selecting items and events towards determining the sample size are some of the common process, which is included in the analysis process. The final step is to implement the sampling plan and reviewing the sampling process (Malhotra, 2013). There are certain definitions towards developing a proper sampling size in the data analysis procedures. The notion of the population can be defined as the including the people with the characteristics of the research findings. However, towards determining a sampling frame there are certain measures which needs to be included towards determining the proper sample space (Malhotra, 2013). The overall sampling frame must be representative of the population. However, the most important part in the assignment is to develop a systemic sampling, which relies towards arranging the target population according to some ordering scheme and then selecting the possible outcome in the best possible manner. There are certain advantages as well as disadvantages towards organizing a proper sampling size. The advantages of the sampling size are reflected in the following part of the assignment (Nestle, 2013). The first point, which needs to analyze is to identify the best selection process, which are included among different kinds of sampling. Selecting the suitable sampling frame will allow the investigator to identifying the sampling size in a proper manner and the overall investigation procedures will reflect the exact findings. However, there certain disadvantages, which needs can be concluded in the overall investigation process of data sampling, are discussed in the following part of the assignment. Sample may be biased in nature and sometimes if hidden periodicity in the population size coincides with that of the selection procedures (Potter, 2012). What Is The Super Predator He Or She Are Young Essays - Crime

What is the "super predator"? He or she are young hypercriminals who are committing acts of violence of unprecedented coldness and brutality. This newest phenomena in the world of crime is perhaps the most dangerous challenge facing society and law enforcement ever. While psychopaths are not new, this breed of super criminal exceeds the scope of psychopathic behavior. They are younger, more brutal, and completely unafraid of the law. While current research on the super predator is scarce, I will attempt to give an indication as to the reasons a child could become just such a monster. Violent teenage criminals are increasingly vicious. John DiIulio, Professor of Politics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, says that "The difference between the juvenile criminals of the 1950s and those of the 1970s and early 1980s was the difference between the Sharks and the Jets of West Side Story and the Bloods and the Crips. It is not inconceivable that the demographic surge of the next ten years will bring with it young criminals who make the Bloods and the Crips look tame." (10) They are what Professor DiIulio and others call urban "super predators"; young people, often from broken homes or so-called dysfunctional families, who commit murder, rape, robbery, kidnapping, and other violent acts. These emotionally damaged young people, often are the products of sexual or physical abuse. They live in an aimless and violent present; have no sense of the past and no hope for the future; they commit unspeakably brutal crimes against other people, often to gratify whatever urges or desires drive them at the moment and their utter lack of remorse is shocking.(9) Studies reveal that the major cause of violent crime is not poverty but family breakdown - specifically, the absence of a father in the household. Today, right now, one-fourth of all the children in the United States are living in fatherless homes - this adds up to 19 million children without fathers. Compared to children in two parent family homes, these children will be twice as likely to drop out of school, twice as likely to have children out of wedlock, and they stand more than three times the chance of ending up in poverty, and almost ten times more likely to commit violent crime and ending up in jail. (1) The Heritage Foundation - a Conservative think tank - reported that the rise in violent crime over the past 30 years runs directly parallel to the rise in fatherless families. In every state in our country, according to the Heritage foundation, the rate for juvenile crime "is closely linked to the percentage of children raised in single-parent families. And while it has long been thought that poverty is the primary cause of crime, the facts simply do not support this view. Teenage criminal behavior has its roots in habitual deprivation of parental love and affection going back to early infancy, according to the Heritage Foundation. A father's attention to his son has enormous positive effects on a boy's emotional and social development. But a boy abandoned by his father in deprived of a deep sense of personal security, In a well-functioning family," he continued, "the very presence of the father embodies authority" and this paternal authority "is critical to the prevention of psychopathology and delinquency." (2) On top of the problem of single parent homes, is the problem of the children whose behavioral problems are linked to their mothers' crack use during pregnancy. These children are reaching their teenage years and this is "a potentially very aggressive population," according to Sheldon Greenberg, director of Johns Hopkins University's Police Executive Leadership Program. What's more, drug use has more than doubled among 12- to 17-year-olds since 1991. "The overwhelming common factor that can be isolated in determining whether young people will be criminal in their behavior is moral poverty," Greenberg says. (3) According to the recently published "Body Count: Moral Poverty . . . and How to Win America' s War Against Crime and Drugs," a new generation of "super-predators, " untouched by any moral inclinations, will hit America's streets in the next decade. John DiIulio, the Brookings Institute fellow who co-wrote the book with William Bennett and John Walters, calls it a "multi variate phenomenon, " meaning that child abuse, the high number of available high-tech guns, alcoholism and many other factors feed the problem. University of Pennsylvania professor Mavin Wolfgang says, "6 percent to 7 percent of the boys in an age group will be chronic offenders, meaning they are arrested five or more times before the age of 18." If that holds true, because there will be
